Project Discovery at the San Joaquin Marsh
Project Discovery Camp

Ages 7-10: Visit the San Joaquin Marsh, a natural and manufactured paradise located in Irvine. During camp, the children will enjoy a variety of design and engineering challenges, such as building and testing a model roller coaster, dropping an egg without breaking it, and constructing a catapult to launch objects toward targets. In addition, the campers will explore the forces that drive a paper glider, our planet, and our solar system, by making, testing, comparing, and contrasting models. Other thought-provoking and hands-on investigations include conducting a series of chemical reactions that produce light, gas, or a change in temperature. All of this and more with your child’s safety in mind, in and around the Marsh’s “Discovery” classroom.

This camp is located at the San Joaquin Marsh and will be held during the weeks of July 3, July 10, July 24, Aug 7 and Aug 14 from 9 AM to 12:30 PM.
